A range of information output types can be combined on the same screen to make viewing and understanding simple. Gauges, bar-graphs, digital readouts and trending strip-charts are employed as required to allow information to be scanned and understood quickly and effectively. Multiple PC work-stations can be connected to the RMS; selected information can be logged at these workstations and played back at a later date. Alarms levels can be set for any parameter and driller’s alarms can be logged for later review. Electronic notes can be made by users and attached to logged data; these notes can be protected and viewing restricted to those with the correct authorisation.
Additional display screens include mud pits, bulk storage, mud mixing, anchor winches, ballast tanks, engine monitoring, HPHT, well control and BOP functions. Specific screen configurations and reporting packages can be defined by the customer. Control functions such as motor stop/starts can also be incorporated into the RMS.
